Terms of use
These terms govern use of decanatefoundry.digital. They are written for a briefing site, not a shop. If you need a contract for a paid briefing, that will be a separate letter.
1. Who we are
This site is published by Decanate Foundry, East Scryne Farm, Carnoustie DD7 6LL, UK. Contact: [email protected].
2. What this site is
The pages describe the landscape of alternative media and independent journalism in the United Kingdom. They are analysis and briefing, not legal advice, not investment advice, and not a news wire.
3. Acceptable use
You may read, link to, and quote short passages with attribution. You may not scrape the site in a way that degrades the service, present our pages as your own, or use the contact form to send malware, bulk advertising, or threats.
4. Intellectual property
Unless a credit says otherwise, the text and arrangement of this site belong to Decanate Foundry. Named newsrooms remain the owners of their own titles and journalism; mentioning them is reporting, not a claim over their work.
5. Accuracy
Ownership, regulation, and funding change. We correct errors when they are pointed out — email [email protected] with the URL, the sentence, and the filing that shows otherwise. A correction on this site is not an admission of liability.
6. Third-party sites
Links to newsrooms, regulators, and statutes are for reference. Their terms apply when you leave this site.
7. Liability
The site is provided as it stands. To the fullest extent permitted by Scots law, we exclude liability for loss that arises from your reliance on a briefing page. We do not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are not affected.
8. Personal data
How we handle personal data is set out in the privacy policy.
9. Law and forum
These terms are governed by the law of Scotland. The Scottish courts have exclusive jurisdiction, except that we may still seek an injunction wherever your servers or you are found.
